ARTIST BIO

Having been surrounded by art all my life and having a mother that also loved to paint, I just fell into art. Painting,pottery,mosaics ..in fact many forms of art inspire me and that has lead me to the way I paint now.

I love contemporary art and abstracts,but also dabble occassionally in still life work too. Having begun in acrylics, I still use them today but have also ventured into oils which I love.

My inspiration comes from living near the sea, my travels in the Australian outback and overseas. I love the rich blues of the oceans and the copper and deep reds of the outback along with the varieties of greens that are always on show with the eucalypts.

I very rarely copy from a photograph when I paint as I like to allow the imagination to do the talking and that in itself inspires me to create original pieces.
