Austin Dayal is a research scientist by profession and has worked for CSIRO till retiring in 2004. He has degrees in science and electrical engineering and has received Doctorate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Sydney. Painting is his hobby which he started during his childhood days but could not continue to paint due to heavy workload of a professional scientist. Since retiring he started painting again encouraged by an artist friend. He uses various mediums to paint but prefers water colours and oil He is especially interested in painting landscapes, seascapes and cityscapes as well as still life. He is a member of Marion Art group, Adelaide. He has exhibited and sold paintings in various art exhibitions including Victor Harbour Art Show, Gallery M and SALA. He also studies and writes on the subject of theology and has published four books. |
