Ursula Kiessling has painted siince childhood and eventually develped her "Poetic Realism" in the Seventies in Gemany. She was a member of an art group and took part in their exhitions as well as staging her own solo shows. She emigrated to Austalia in 1983 and had her first solo exhibition at Yarrabee House in Adelaide in 1991 - a sell-out. After that she exhibited regularly in major galleries in SA and interstate. She has been a six-time Waterhouse Prize finalist.
In 2016 she organised "the Bus Full of Art" which brought art to the people from Port Augusta to Goolwa via Adelaide during the Fringe Festival.
Currently, Ursula is preparing for the large annual Naive Art Show in Poland, where Australia will be the featured country in 2018. |
