ARTIST BIO

My work has primarily been concerned with light and its effect on various subjects. In the past I have been particularly drawn to maritime scenes because I like the strong colours, shapes and textures associated with water, boats and harbours. More recently I have been rediscovering the pleasure of painting the natural landscape and wildlife.

One of my proudest achievements was my selection in the 2017 Leigh Yawkey Woodson Birds in Art Exhibition held in Wisconsin USA and my subsequent inclusion in the final sixty works to tour galleries in Chicago, New York and New Mexico. It was an honour to have my painting hanging alongside some of the world's most respected wildlife artists.

In 2019 my painting of Pacific black ducks was purchased by the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum to form part of their permanent collection. An honour I will always cherish.
