ARTIST BIO

My name is Kate and I am a local artist living in the Limestone Coast region of South Australia.  I have been a Wildlife Vet Nurse for over 10 years and have further graduated in Vertebrate Zoology, Wildlife Conservation and Feline Psychology.  I am also strongly passionate about Work Health and Safety and have been lucky enough to work in the mining industry in WA and currently working in the logging industry promoting safety and well-being.  I am a gypsy at heart and love to travel Australia with a strong love for the East Coast and Far North Queensland.  I am a big family girl and love nothing more than just hanging out with them.  Some of my favourite places to visit with my family are The Grampians (Victoria), Middleton (SA) and Port Douglas (Queensland). I consider myself a creative person with a passion for colours, interior design and gardening.  I was inspired to paint when I visited Far North Queensland in 2016 and since then I have been creating tropical inspired acrylic artwork which captures the natural beauty of Far North Queensland in abstract themes.
